The Yoga Fitness Center will close for the holidays on Wednesday, December 20th and will reopen on Tuesday, January 2nd with our full schedule.

 

Asana Lab with Julie Mackiewicz
 Would you like to explore advanced yoga asanas? And take the time to work with these poses?
Join Julie the 3rd Friday of each month this Fall for Asana Lab.
In these two-hour asana focused sessions, we will have the luxury to dive deep into our asana practice.
With our body, mat, and studio space as our lab we will explore, investigate, and experiment with intermediate/advanced poses and sequencing.
We will work hard, be safe, and find play in our practice.
Start your weekend off with some yoga asana!

Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga with Lori Chase
 Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00pm-6:15pm
 

A 60 minute led class with 15 minute savasana which introduces students to the primary series of Ashtanga that is accessible to all students.

Learn the fundamentals of the Ashtanga yoga practice in a safe and supportive environment. The focus will be on proper alignment and modifications of postures,as well as the basic techniques of breathing and movement, meditative gazing (drishti), and internal energy locks (bandhas).

This class will prepare the student for participation in Mysore-style or led practice. Suitable for begining students and anyone who wants to get back to the basics of the practice.
